Tomás Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Décio Esteves made a huge save. 莫天泉 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Reginaldo Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Décio Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomás Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agostinho Azevedo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. Auriflama SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Auriflama SC fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Auriflama SC's Reginaldo Guerra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 28 minutes into the match, Favela SC's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Azevedo came free, but Décio Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogério Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 莫天泉 having to interfere. If Marcus Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Azevedo in the 36th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Marcus Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Favela SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Auriflama SC the free kick. A collision led to Favela SC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Marcus Meirelles hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match Décio Reis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Décio Esteves skillfully saved the ball. 莫天泉 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Rocha in the 47th minute of the match.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo Guerra in the 52nd minute of play forced Favela SC's goalkeeper Décio Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Décio Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vânderson Amaral during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Favela SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Décio Esteves having to make a save. Favela SC's Décio Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Guerra in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Guerra in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Décio Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Décio Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reginaldo Guerra's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Cacá Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Reginaldo Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Auriflama SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Guerra couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the game, Favela SC's Rogério Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 莫天泉 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Favela SC's Décio Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Azevedo in the 85th minute of play. If Tomás Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Rocha struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. 莫天泉 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Favela SC. After some careless play in the Favela SC defense, Reginaldo Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Esteves. The Favela SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Esteves should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Auriflama SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
