Favela SC's Décio Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão de Alcântara in the 13th minute of play. Daniel Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Décio Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Guimarães made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Geovanni Pirani sent off a good shot on target. The nice shot from Rogério Ramos in the 28thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Luiz Guilherme Guimarães had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Geovanni Pirani hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Borborema's Aílton Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sidney Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Décio Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão de Alcântara in the 43rd minute of the match. Décio Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Daniel Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borborema's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Décio Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Décio Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão de Alcântara in the 80th minute of the match.
