Spectators: 7253 (Terracing: 5441, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Christian Rocha started the match with the kick off. Décio Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Cunha in the 5th minute of the match. Décio Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Marcus Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Favela SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goiania FC the free kick. Cássio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Décio Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Favela SC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique do Valle. Marco Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Décio Esteves made a huge save. Enrique Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Rocha in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Rogério Ramos made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Bezerra. Goiania FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Christian Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Bezerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Rogério Ramos made a precise shot to the right of Enrique Bezerra. Goiania FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Marco Bittencourt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Favela SC's Sidney Velasco got a free kick in the 34th minute. Marco Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Cássio Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Esteves was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The supporters of Goiania FC booed when Favela SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Bittencourt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Décio Esteves 44 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, one of Favela SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Favela SC:s Décio Esteves showed great skill when he stopped Marco Bittencourt:s penalty.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cássio Cunha was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 72 minutes, Cássio Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goiania FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdir Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Esteves having to interfere. Cássio Cunha struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Décio Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiania FC. In the 79thth minute of the game Cássio Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Favela SC's Décio Esteves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marco Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Décio Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiania FC. After 84 played minutes, Goiania FC's Dênis Mineiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Décio Esteves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goiania FC reached it. In the 85th minute, Marco Bittencourt made a precise shot to the right of Décio Esteves. Favela SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Cunha in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Esteves saved Favela SC from getting behind. The Goiania FC fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Goiania FC's Cássio Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 95th minute, Cássio Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Décio Esteves. Favela SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. There was no doubt that Goiania FC were the better team. Goiania FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
