A collision led to Petunia EC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Virgílio Figueiredo hit a great ball. Otávio Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Leonardo Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Petunia EC booed when Tucandera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conrado Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petunia EC. The Tucandera players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Petunia EC were winning 0-2.
