Spectators: 6400 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1300, VIP seats: 100) Adriano Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Pinheiro in the 3rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dorival Pinheiro sped through Uno FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adriano Brodel. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorival Pinheiro in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Brodel saved Uno FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cícero Antunes during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Novo Hamburgo booed when Uno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamílton Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jan Pająk made a huge save. Jan Pająk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamílton Veloso's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Novo Hamburgo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roger Queiroz was slow to take the kick. During this time Uno FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Uno FC's Roger Queiroz to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Pająk despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Celso Rosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano Brodel. Uno FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celso Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 39th minute, Celso Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uno FC's Adriano Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Pinheiro in the 45th minute of play. Dorival Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Adriano Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Novo Hamburgo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Uno FC's Hamílton Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute of the match Novo Hamburgo got a corner. Uno FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lino Negri ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lino Negri got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adriano Brodel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adriano Brodel was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Miguel Toledo. Dorival Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cícero Antunes hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Lino Negri was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Dorival Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novo Hamburgo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorival Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Brodel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Celso Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adriano Brodel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Uno FC's Cícero Antunes got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Cícero Antunes off the ground. In the 82nd match minute, Uno FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Antunes to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Lino Negri sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Adriano Brodel threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Lino Negri this time. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Bernardo da Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo da Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Pająk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hamílton Veloso fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uno FC's protests and gave Hamílton Veloso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Uno FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Hamílton Veloso hit a great ball. The Novo Hamburgo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Novo Hamburgo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
