Cristian Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jorge Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeu Rossi struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Claudinho de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papary EC. If Zé Augusto Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Cristian Silveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jorge Zonta. Cristian Silveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Guga Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Zonta having to interfere. Guga Furtado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Jorge Zonta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zé Augusto Ferraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinho de Medeiros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Augusto Ferraz ran back to his position shaking his head. Guga Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jorge Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Papary EC's Amadeu Rossi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinho de Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The Iracema FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Papary EC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Cristian Silveira made the kick off in the second half. When Papary EC's Zé Augusto Ferraz in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Claudinho de Medeiros acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cipriano Leal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Cristian Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iracema FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the game, Iracema FC's Cristian Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Zonta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Iracema FC's Claudinho de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto Ferraz in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papary EC's goalkeeper Jorge Zonta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iracema FC's Claudinho de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Iracema FC from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
