The supporters of El Barco Pirata booed when Iracema FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinho de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho de Medeiros came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by El Barco Pirata's Leonel Madureira. But to his dismay, Leonel Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guga Gerber was the one to do the kick off. Jorginho de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho de Medeiros having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Guga Furtado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Luís Gustavo Valle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. El Barco Pirata's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinho de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th match minute, Iracema FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Claudinho de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Madureira in the 87th minute of play.
