Baltazar de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute of the match Horácio Maia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Zonta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Baltazar de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Papary EC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Baltazar de Almeida hit a great ball. Horácio Maia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Leonardo Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Amadeu Rossi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Papary EC's Zé Augusto Ferraz got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Kiko Proença notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Papary EC's Jorge Zonta. Jorge Zonta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonardo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Ferraz in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Kiko Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Papary EC's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Vergílio came free, but Jorge Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Rossi struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Leonardo Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papary EC. Wilton Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 38thth minute of the game Armandinho Vergílio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papary EC's Jorge Zonta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kiko Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jorge Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Papary EC's zone, Armandinho Vergílio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Zonta came out of the goal and Armandinho Vergílio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kiko Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Zonta having to interfere. Amadeu Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Augusto Ferraz to make the kick off. Kiko Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jorge Zonta made a huge save. Zé Augusto Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Saldanha having to interfere. Kiko Proença who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Jorge Zonta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69thth minute of the game Armandinho Vergílio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Papary EC's Jorge Zonta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71st play minutes Armandinho Vergílio shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Jorge Zonta and just under the crossbar into goal. 75 minutes into the match, Petunia EC's Kiko Proença sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Zonta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armandinho Vergílio in the 76th minute of the match. If Kiko Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kiko Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jorge Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Papary EC's goalkeeper Jorge Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiko Proença. In the 90th match minute, Papary EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armandinho Vergílio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Papary EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva Simões to maneuver through the defense. Petunia EC's Horácio Maia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Papary EC. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Papary EC! Papary EC:s Jorge Zonta showed great skill when he stopped Horácio Maia:s penalty. After some careless play in the Papary EC defense, Horácio Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Zonta. The Papary EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Zonta should have stopped the shot. The Papary EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Petunia EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
