Spectators: 6680 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Arary SS's goalkeeper Betinho Schmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustão Machado. Michel de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Cunha in the 6th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Macieira defense, Fabrício Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michel de Toledo. The Macieira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michel de Toledo should have stopped the shot. In the 17th minute Abel Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno Cunha struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Michel de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arary SS. If Breno Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Betinho Schmidt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abel Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Schmidt having to interfere. Zé Augusto Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Betinho Schmidt made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Faustão Machado sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Arary SS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Breno Cunha made a kick off. Michel de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Cunha in the 51st minute of play. Fabrício Linhares struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Michel de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arary SS. Arary SS's Luiz Fábio Gaspar suffered a concussion in the 54th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 54 minutes into the game, Jeremias Monteiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macieira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arary SS the free kick. A collision led to Macieira getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jeremias Monteiro hit a great ball. Abel Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Betinho Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabrício Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdo Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Zé Augusto Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arary SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Augusto Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arary SS's goalkeeper Betinho Schmidt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Macieira's Abel Nunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Betinho Schmidt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Abel Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Macieira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Nunes couldn't finish the play. Fabrício Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Michel de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Linhares got free with Michel de Toledo in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Faustão Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Betinho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Nunes in the 97th minute of the match. The Macieira supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arary SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Arary SS.
