In the 9th minute, Tostão Nascimento fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 11 minutes into the game, Erik Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tricolor Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cronapp FC the free kick. In the 11th match minute, Tricolor Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Tostão Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Aguiar having to interfere. A collision led to Cronapp FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cafu Sousa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Nascimento in the 23rd minute of play forced Cronapp FC's goalkeeper Luizão Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cronapp FC's Luizão Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Nascimento in the 30th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 33rd minute when Almir Mangueira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 36 minutes, Tostão Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tricolor Futebol Clube and the Cronapp FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 minutes of play, Cronapp FC's Almir Mangueira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arlindo Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Almir Mangueira made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Almir Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tostão Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Luizão Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Cronapp FC got a freekick which was hit by Décio Gerber. Luizão Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Erik Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erik Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luizão Aguiar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. Arlindo Quadros made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Dedê Falcão sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Cronapp FC's Alan Quadros got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cronapp FC's goalkeeper Luizão Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Sílvio Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match Alan Quadros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arlindo Quadros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 90th match minute, Cronapp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Souza to maneuver through the defense. The Cronapp FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cronapp FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
