Nascimento's Luiz Fernando Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Gaspar in the 10th minute of play. Luiz Fábio Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Luiz Fernando Rosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arary SS. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arary SS's goalkeeper Betinho Schmidt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Betinho Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Nascimento's Dorian Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Betinho Schmidt. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. In the 28th minute, Arary SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dorian Dantas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dorian Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Nascimento's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Cunha came free, but Luiz Fernando Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorian Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Schmidt having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breno Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Fabrício Linhares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luiz Fernando Rosa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nascimento's Luiz Fernando Rosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Nascimento from getting a goal against them. After having played for 56 minutes, Clóvis Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nascimento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clóvis Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Róbson do Valle during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 77 minutes, Clóvis Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Breno Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. Nascimento's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arary SS the free kick. In the 90th match minute, Nascimento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Matos to maneuver through the defense. Breno Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Rosa having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When Dorian Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Nascimento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorian Dantas couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
