The Helmet HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eliézer Rossi's late challenge caught a Helmet HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliézer Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. Eliézer Rossi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Orlando Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Michel de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salinas Náutico Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Michel de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 31 minutes, Michel de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas Náutico Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orlando Guimarães hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Helmet HC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Eliézer Rossi scored to the left of an out of position Abel Correia, making the score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel de Sousa to make the kick off. Abel Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Helmet HC's Abel Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer Rossi in the 62nd minute of play. Abel Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michel de Sousa's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Célio Cunha took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Gil Rocha to make any attempt to save it. Abel Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliézer Rossi went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute Michel de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gernando Peixoto charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernando Peixoto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Michel de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot.
