After 24 minutes, Lúcio Ferraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mamonas Assassinas and the Praia do Pontal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lúcio Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Dráuzio Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Dráuzio Barral made a precise shot to the right of Maicon Branco. Mamonas Assassinas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Dráuzio Barral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Maicon Branco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dráuzio Barral struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Maicon Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Praia do Pontal. After a defensive mix-up in Mamonas Assassinas's zone, Dráuzio Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maicon Branco came out of the goal and Dráuzio Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mamonas Assassinas's Maicon Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Mamonas Assassinas from getting a goal against them. Praia do Pontal played a much better game than Mamonas Assassinas and deserved their victory. The Mamonas Assassinas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
