Gustavo Leão hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Ilha de Corsega FC's goalkeeper Hortêncio Zonta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva de Sena. 22 minutes into the match, Doriva de Sena notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ilha de Corsega FC's Hortêncio Zonta. Hortêncio Zonta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuel Magalhães received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hortêncio Zonta came out and tried to block the shot, but Samuel Magalhães slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 25th minute. Samuel Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Hortêncio Zonta managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Lobos Guara FC's Samuel Magalhães fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jacinto Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hortêncio Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Luisinho Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Samuel Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Zonta having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ilha de Corsega FC's zone, Jacinto Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Zonta came out of the goal and Jacinto Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson de Salles in the 64th minute of play forced Lobos Guara FC's goalkeeper Genílson de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ilha de Corsega FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Magalhães came free, but Hortêncio Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Samuel Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 69 minutes into the game, Doriva de Sena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Hortêncio Zonta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Samuel Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Lobos Guara FC fans jumped to their feet. Hortêncio Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Leal in the 75th minute of play. Cléberson Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Samuel Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 80 minutes, Jacinto Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lobos Guara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 92nd minute of the match Wilton Bastos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hortêncio Zonta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Lobos Guara FC's Samuel Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Zonta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0.
