Taperoa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itamaraju the free kick. After a rather tough play, Taperoa's Fellipe Correia got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Niklas Österlund kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Niklas Österlund came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Itamaraju fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niklas Österlund couldn't finish the play. Válter Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niklas Österlund's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Niklas Österlund struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Válter Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itamaraju. When Rony de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Itamaraju fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony de Senna couldn't finish the play. Henrique Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Válter Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Österlund in the 23rd minute of the match. Naldo França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri de Queiroz in the 24th minute of the match. Válter Meira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niklas Österlund went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Niklas Österlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itamaraju's supporters rose to their feet, but Niklas Österlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Niklas Österlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válter Meira was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Taperoa's Válter Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Österlund in the 37th minute of play. Niklas Österlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válter Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Österlund in the 43rd minute of play. Niklas Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amauri de Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Itamaraju's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri de Queiroz came free, but Naldo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Henrique Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Itamaraju's zone, Henrique Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo França came out of the goal and Henrique Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taperoa's Válter Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Österlund in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Taperoa's zone, Rony de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Meira came out of the goal and Rony de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Niklas Österlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Taperoa's goalkeeper Válter Meira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Taperoa defense, Niklas Österlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válter Meira. The Taperoa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válter Meira should have stopped the shot. Rony de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Válter Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rony de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Niklas Österlund notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Taperoa's Válter Meira. Válter Meira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Itamaraju's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
