Hortêncio Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Taperoa's Amauri de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilha de Corsega FC's Hortêncio Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri de Queiroz in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amauri de Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Amauri de Queiroz made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Zonta. Ilha de Corsega FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Amauri de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Amauri de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taperoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Amauri de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ediberto Paulista hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Luisinho Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Ilha de Corsega FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri de Queiroz came free, but Hortêncio Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Taperoa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
