The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juninho Travassos to make the kick off. Juninho Travassos ran back to his position shaking his head. Dráusio Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Elivélton Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Paulo Torres was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Túlio Lucas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 90 minute of play. Benedito Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Leite having to interfere. Dráusio Leite came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Republica's Elivélton Vaz. But to his dismay, Elivélton Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the match was over Ases Indomáveis could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Republica throughout the match.
