Arthur Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Sergipano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Macedo in the 28th minute of play forced Montevidio's goalkeeper Narciso Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narciso Bueno during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Montevidio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Bueno to maneuver through the defense. Donato Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Sergipano having to interfere. If Donato Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Arthur Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 41 in the game by Arthur Duarte from a close distance when the talented Narciso Sergipano managed to make a qualified save. Montevidio's players were relieved. The Torneiros EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montevidio were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Macedo was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Donato Macedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narciso Sergipano was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 53 minutes into the game, Evandro Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montevidio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torneiros EC the free kick. The supporters of Montevidio booed when Torneiros EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeu Fantini's late challenge caught a Montevidio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeu Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Romeu Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felippe Pontes, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Evandro Albuquerque hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Macedo in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Sergipano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Donato Macedo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Torneiros EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Macedo couldn't finish the play. Zé Roberto Loyola might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narciso Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Roberto Loyola ran back to his position shaking his head. Narciso Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Loyola in the 66th minute of play. Narciso Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Macedo in the 68th minute of the match. Zé Roberto Loyola struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Narciso Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Torneiros EC. Montevidio's Narciso Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Macedo in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Montevidio's zone, Arthur Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Sergipano came out of the goal and Arthur Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Arthur Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Montevidio getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Evandro Albuquerque hit a great ball. Torneiros EC's Arthur Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torneiros EC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
