Adilson da Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pensamento's zone, Dalmo Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adilson da Cunha came out of the goal and Dalmo Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Benedito Vidal notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pensamento's Adilson da Cunha. Adilson da Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute Benedito Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adilson da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Vidal in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedito Vidal in the 23rd minute of play forced Pensamento's goalkeeper Adilson da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Pensamento getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Enrique Pinho hit a great ball. Ronaldo Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Nespol's Cauan Souza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pensamento. Nespol's Luís Fábio de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adilson da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Vidal in the 36th minute of the match. Ronaldo Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cléberson Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adilson da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Vidal in the 42nd minute of play. If Luís Fábio de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute, Adhemar Dionísio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedito Vidal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A hard shot by Cauan Souza from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Adilson da Cunha's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ronaldo Salgado's late challenge caught a Nespol's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldo Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. Ronaldo Salgado hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Luís Fábio de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nespol's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fábio de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adilson da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Fábio de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Adilson da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nespol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Nespol's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
