The crowd rose to their feet as Manhumirim FC's Belmiro Prata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jailson Barral. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gláuber Recife kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jailson Barral. That made the score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. After 14 minutes, Natanael de Almeida made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Seraph's Jailson Barral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 21st minute, Manhumirim FC's Mathias Carvalho seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mathias Carvalho the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Manhumirim FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mathias Carvalho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Manhumirim FC! Valdir Pernambucano went to the wrong direction when Victor Arantes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Belmiro Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 28 minutes into the game, Gláuber Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jailson Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Manhumirim FC booed when Seraph was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Noel Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seraph's protests and gave Noel Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Manhumirim FC booed when Seraph was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belmiro Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Seraph's zone, Gláuber Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Barral came out of the goal and Gláuber Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Luisão Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manhumirim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisão Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jailson Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gláuber Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute Gláuber Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jefferson Diniz to make the kick off. Seraph's Jailson Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Félix in the 51st minute of play. Belmiro Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Barral having to interfere. When Gláuber Recife fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manhumirim FC's protests and gave Gláuber Recife a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Manhumirim FC's Gláuber Recife got a free kick in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Manhumirim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Diniz came free, but Valdir Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Belmiro Prata came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Manhumirim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belmiro Prata couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Manhumirim FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Luisão Félix hit a great ball. The long shot by Victor Arantes in the 66th minute really tested Valdir Pernambucano's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Seraph's Jailson Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Domingues in the 69th minute of play. Victor Arantes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Manhumirim FC's Belmiro Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jailson Barral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 76 played minutes Manhumirim FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Félix. If Belmiro Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Motta's late challenge caught a Manhumirim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juvenal Motta helped the player get up and apologised. Juvenal Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Belmiro Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Gláuber Recife made a precise shot to the right of Jailson Barral. Seraph's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 95 minutes into the game, Manhumirim FC's Gláuber Recife nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jailson Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Manhumirim FC fully deserved thier win.
