Sidney Esteves had in the 5thth minute some difficulties stopping Jorginho Novaes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 5th minute, Jorginho Novaes made a precise shot to the right of Sidney Esteves. Insano Grama e Futsal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Elder Quintal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, David Corrêa lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Vicente Mendes. Anselmo Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pirapiringa EC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Anselmo Silva hit a great ball. Vicente Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Severo in the 20th minute of the match. Elder Quintal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vicente Mendes having to make a save. 22 minutes into the game, Bruno Loureiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirapiringa EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Insano Grama e Futsal the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Pirapiringa EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Ernani Barbosa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pirapiringa EC's Vicente Mendes didn't even have to move. Pirapiringa EC's Jorginho Novaes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Insano Grama e Futsal. After 36 minutes of play, Insano Grama e Futsal's David Corrêa made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elder Quintal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Vicente Mendes when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleiton Paraense was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Paulo Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Sidney Esteves made a huge save. In the 58th minute Elder Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vicente Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pirapiringa EC's Pedro Paulo Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Insano Grama e Futsal's zone, Pedro Paulo Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Esteves came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sidney Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton Paraense in the 71st minute of play. Pirapiringa EC's Vicente Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Corrêa in the 78th minute of play. Vicente Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Mendes having to interfere. With a little luck, Insano Grama e Futsal's Sidney Esteves got control of the ball when Pedro Paulo Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elder Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cleiton Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Esteves having to interfere. Pirapiringa EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
