The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jailson Barral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giuseppe Pirani's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 9th match minute, Seraph was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Seraph's Jailson Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Pirani in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Seraph's goal looked a bit too open when Giuseppe Pirani came free, but Jailson Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giuseppe Pirani might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jailson Barral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giuseppe Pirani ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19thth minute of the game Jefferson Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Susto AD's Pedro Luiz Cavalcante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Seraph fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos de Godoi in the 30th minute of play forced Seraph's goalkeeper Jailson Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Susto AD's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Cavalcante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amílton Barbosa. Henrique Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jailson Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos de Godoi in the 37th minute of the match. Jailson Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Carlinhos de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Susto AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos de Godoi couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute, Carlinhos de Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Susto AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Susto AD were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Carlinhos de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlinhos de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Jailson Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Carlinhos de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Susto AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlinhos de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Henrique Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Susto AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seraph the free kick. In the 81st minute, Henrique Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuseppe Pirani got free with Jailson Barral in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juvenal Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 100th minute Carlinhos de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Susto AD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
