After a defensive mix-up in Pensamento's zone, Elder Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adilson da Cunha came out of the goal and Elder Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Pensamento's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Quintal came free, but Adilson da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Insano Grama e Futsal's Elder Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pensamento's zone, David Corrêa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adilson da Cunha came out of the goal and David Corrêa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adilson da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Corrêa in the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Pensamento's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Quintal came free, but Adilson da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 minutes of play, Insano Grama e Futsal's David Corrêa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adilson da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Elder Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vladimir Valadares was the one to do the kick off. Adilson da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elder Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adilson da Cunha having to interfere. David Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Adilson da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
