Robinho Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROS FC. The supporters of ROS FC booed when Sumaré-SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes of play, Sumaré-SP's Luiz Fernando Veiga made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Alberto Siqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeremias Paranaense charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremias Paranaense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Anísio Vidal from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Robinho Maranhense's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jeremias Paranaense might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Alberto Siqueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremias Paranaense ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the game, Joel Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ROS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumaré-SP the free kick. The ROS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Siqueira should have stopped the shot. After having played for 44 minutes, Jeremias Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sumaré-SP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ROS FC's Carlos Alberto Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Veiga in the 45th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Siqueira having to interfere. The ROS FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sumaré-SP were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Allan Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Alberto Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Veiga in the 55th minute of play. Jeremias Paranaenses short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Carlos Alberto Siqueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luiz Fernando Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes ROS FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Vides. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Jeremias Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlos Alberto Siqueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Tales Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Tales Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
