After a defensive mix-up in BZ FC's zone, Richard Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Tinoco came out of the goal and Richard Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nildo Severo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Tinoco saved BZ FC from getting behind. If Dudu Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Rondinha's Dudu Ferreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Tinoco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dudu Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Duarte Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Dudu Ferreira made the kick off in the second half. Duarte Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rondinha. Duarte Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Ferreira in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Nildo Severo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rondinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BZ FC the free kick. The supporters of BZ FC booed when Rondinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Norberto Viana fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BZ FC's protests and gave Norberto Viana a yellow card for diving instead. Norberto Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes in the game, Dudu Ferreira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Duarte Tinoco having to interfere. BZ FC's Duarte Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Ferreira in the 94th minute of play.
