Vito Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gilson da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mazinho Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB's José Vítor Leite got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Laércio Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazinho Quadros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Gilson da Rocha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 15 minutes into the game, Mazinho Quadros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gilson da Rocha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mazinho Quadros struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gilson da Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bigodes FC. Gilson da Rocha came out of the goal and Mazinho Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mazinho Quadros to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Márcio Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB's zone, Mazinho Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson da Rocha came out of the goal and Mazinho Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute Jefferson Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Mazinho Quadros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB's Gilson da Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Glauco Marinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilson da Rocha skillfully saved the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Gilson da Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Mazinho Quadros came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Bigodes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazinho Quadros couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute of the match Glauco Marinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilson da Rocha skillfully saved the ball. After 94 played minutes Bigodes FC got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Leite. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bigodes FC's goalkeeper Mateus Linhares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Bigodes FC had controlled the match.
