An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Paraibano in the 40th minute of play forced Fluminense FC's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When José Vítor Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fluminense FC's protests and gave José Vítor Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of BERTOLDO FUTEBOL CLUB booed when Fluminense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Galvão hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Laerte Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilson da Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitório Furtado in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Pedro Donatello saved Fluminense FC from getting behind. In the 84th minute, José Vítor Leite made a precise shot to the right of Zé Pedro Donatello. Fluminense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. Laerte Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute.
