ROS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tales Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno Mello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, ROS FC's Magno Mello threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Allan Saldanha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 17 minutes into the match, Pirracao EC's goalkeeper Magno Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tales Simões. Carlos Alberto Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson da Silveira in the 19th minute of play. If Allan Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Tales Simões notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pirracao EC's Magno Mello. Magno Mello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dedé Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovani Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Siqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Alberto Siqueira came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pirracao EC's Jailson da Silveira. But to his dismay, Jailson da Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 36th match minute, Pirracao EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Magno Mello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Pirracao EC's goalkeeper Magno Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Vides. ROS FC's Geovani Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dedé Cearense made a kick off. If Tales Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 54 minutes into the game, Pirracao EC's Jailson da Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Alberto Siqueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After having played for 58 minutes, Allan Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dedé Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tales Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tales Simões in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magno Mello saved Pirracao EC from getting behind. Luan Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Pirracao EC's Jailson da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Saldanha in the 84th minute of play forced Pirracao EC's goalkeeper Magno Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Pirracao EC's Jailson da Silveira fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 96 minutes, Leandro Donatello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirracao EC and the ROS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes Pirracao EC got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Donatello. The Pirracao EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pirracao EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
