The Rondinha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Simões should have stopped the shot. Rondinha's Manuel Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Lucas in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rondinha's zone, Haroldo Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Simões came out of the goal and Haroldo Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richard Lima in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Filipe Santos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rondinha's Laércio Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nildo Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Filipe Santos made a huge save. Richard Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Lucas got free with Manuel Simões in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rondinha's Richard Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, The ShadyS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico Tróia to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Ferruccio Addario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rondinha were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
