With a little luck, Sokafumo F C's Bruno de Senna got control of the ball when Júlio Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. PODEROSO LEAO's Júlio Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th match minute, Sokafumo F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. When Júlio Lima came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the PODEROSO LEAO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Lima couldn't finish the play. If Dalmo Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, PODEROSO LEAO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Cavalcante to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sokafumo F C's goalkeeper Bruno de Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júlio Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno de Senna having to interfere. If César Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Arlindo Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tales Passos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Tales Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. PODEROSO LEAO's supporters rose to their feet, but Tales Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. César Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to PODEROSO LEAO getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Silvério Cavalcante hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, César Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sokafumo F C's supporters rose to their feet, but César Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dalmo Brodel made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Brodel in the 52nd minute of play forced Sokafumo F C's goalkeeper Bruno de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Horácio Velloso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sokafumo F C's Bruno de Senna didn't even have to move. In the 58th minute Dalmo Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César Mello hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. César Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Arlindo Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Sokafumo F C's Aílton Lara tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Horácio Velloso, 79 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Brodel in the 81st minute of play forced Sokafumo F C's goalkeeper Bruno de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Júlio Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Mello was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lino Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dorian Quirino hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes Sokafumo F C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horácio Velloso who took care of the corner kick. The corner led PODEROSO LEAO's Horácio Velloso to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruno de Senna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
