Luiz Guilherme Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Queirós in the 3rd minute of play. The Araçá F.C fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Araçá F.C's Fábio Sousa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tião Magalhães in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Guilherme Paulista saved Araçá F.C from getting behind. Clemente Simão acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 12th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Angelo Veiga. Araçá F.C's Luiz Guilherme Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Queirós in the 17th minute of play. Cássio Tinoco hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Magalhães in the 24th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme Paulista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Queirós's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The supporters of Financial MK booed when Araçá F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Queirós was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Celso Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Guilherme Paulista was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 55th match minute, Financial MK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Paulista to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Júnior Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tadeu Bueno fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araçá F.C's protests and gave Tadeu Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. When Financial MK's Celso Queirós in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Araçá F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Celso Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Luiz Guilherme Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Tião Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tião Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Financial MK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tião Magalhães couldn't finish the play. Tadeu Bueno hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Paulista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião Magalhães in the 72nd minute. Wiliam Cosme hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Araçá F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Queirós came free, but Luiz Guilherme Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Celso Queirós got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Angelo Veiga got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Angelo Veiga hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Tião Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Araçá F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Financial MK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
