Fábio Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno de Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Sokafumo F C defense, Fábio Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno de Senna. The Sokafumo F C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno de Senna should have stopped the shot. Valdir Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Tadeu Bueno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Araçá F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sokafumo F C the free kick. After 19 played minutes Araçá F.C got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Bueno. After 21 played minutes Araçá F.C got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Sousa. Valdir Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno de Senna having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Fábio Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Araçá F.C's Fábio Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno de Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Fábio Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno de Senna was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Araçá F.C's Fábio Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for César Mello to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Araçá F.C got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Veiga. In the 56th minute, Fábio Sousa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bruno de Senna. The goal made the score 1-3. In the 61st minute, one of Sokafumo F C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sokafumo F C. In the 67thth minute of the game Fábio Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sokafumo F C's Bruno de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute Fábio Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Pimenta got free with Bruno de Senna in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the match, Fábio Sousa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno de Senna, 1-5. Lino Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Fábio Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno de Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fábio Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. If Valdir Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Bruno de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Araçá F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
