Oséas Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe de Almeida in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Concepción FC booed when Laranjal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Paulo Torres came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Laranjal's Vicente Cearense. But to his dismay, Vicente Cearense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Concepción FC's Afonsinho de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Giuseppe de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe de Almeida in the 40th minute of play forced Laranjal's goalkeeper Oséas Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Pedro Paulo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Laranjal's Alex de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Paulo Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With 60 minutes on the clock, Olívio Madureira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Concepción FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Laranjal:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Laranjal's zone, Diego Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséas Pimenta came out of the goal and Diego Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Laranjal's goalkeeper Oséas Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonsinho de Castro. Afonsinho de Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Oséas Pimenta made a huge save. Concepción FC's Pedro Paulo Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex de Lara in the 77th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Diego Chaves took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Oséas Pimenta to make any attempt to save it. Afonsinho de Castro scored 3-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oséas Pimenta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91stth minute of the game Alex de Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Concepción FC's Pedro Paulo Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diego Chaves was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Concepción FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonsinho de Castro got free with Oséas Pimenta in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Laranjal support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
