The referee ignored BAÚ DA MORTE's protests and gave Roger da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BAÚ DA MORTE getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bujaru EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BAÚ DA MORTE the free kick. Frédson Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manoel Guimarães in the 48th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After having played for 64 minutes, Manoel Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bujaru EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felippe Breckenfeld succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 96th playminute.
