When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Yan de Lima sped through Burro da Central's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robinho Penha. After 44 played minutes Burro da Central got a freekick which was hit by Bruninho Soeiro. After having played for 45 minutes, Vicente de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curutari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente de Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Curutari FC made a substitution. Gernando Capixaba replaced Yan de Lima. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Tinoco to make the kick off. When Gernando Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Curutari FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gernando Capixaba couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd match minute, Burro da Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Gernando Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curutari FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
