After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Vágner de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porto Alegre Ursos's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Porto Alegre Ursos's Vágner de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandro Pinheiro went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 74 played minutes Vágner de Toledo could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-2 into the left cross. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Andrézinho Cearense put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benjamin Guerra.
