But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Luiz Pena couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Bocapaulista's Luís Guilherme Nascimento got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás de Moraes in the 39th minute of play forced Orindiuva SC's goalkeeper Sérgio Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Sílvio Luiz Pena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Edmílson Diniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sérgio Félix came out of the goal and Marquinhos Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Félix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás de Moraes in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto Furtado got free with Sérgio Félix in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonçalo Secco might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cacá Andrade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Secco ran back to his position shaking his head. The Orindiuva SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bocapaulista's performance. The match ended with a win for Bocapaulista.
