Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Telmo Monteiro kicked off to start the match. Fernando Henrique came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila barro branco's Telmo Monteiro. But to his dismay, Telmo Monteiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Samuca Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Samuca Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yuri Netto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Vila barro branco's Yuri Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Luz in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Valentina SC booed when Vila barro branco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Luz in the 32nd minute of play. Samuca Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Telmo Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Hermes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filipe Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuca Pirani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Horácio Luz came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Valentina SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Luz couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila barro branco's goalkeeper Yuri Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samuca Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Netto having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Vila barro branco's goalkeeper Yuri Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Luz. If Horácio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuca Pirani in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuri Netto saved Vila barro branco from getting behind. José Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Valentina SC got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Pirani. If Telmo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Monteiro in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Henrique prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 77 played minutes Valentina SC got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Barral. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Hermes in the 79th minute of play forced Valentina SC's goalkeeper Fernando Henrique to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Horácio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yuri Netto stood somewhat misplaced when Horácio Luz came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 88 minute. A hard shot 94 in the game by Horácio Luz from a close distance when the talented Yuri Netto managed to make a qualified save. Vila barro branco's players were relieved.
