Lauro Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Roberto Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lauro Dias struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Roberto Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vazantes. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vazantes's goalkeeper Leonel Gaspar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laerte Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonel Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Agostinho Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Soares in the 93rd minute of play forced Sonifarma F.C's goalkeeper Roberto Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sonifarma F.C had won after a very even match.
