After a defensive mix-up in Verdadeiros's zone, Albertinho Magalhães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Godoi came out of the goal and Albertinho Magalhães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 19 minutes of play, Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF's Albertinho Magalhães made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sebastião Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rubinho Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Albertinho Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Godoi having to interfere. If Pedro Luís Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Dionísio having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Machado in the 43rd minute of play forced Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF's goalkeeper Mauro Dionísio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Machado in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Madureira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Dante to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Verdadeiros's Edmílson de Almeida got a free kick in the 60th minute. Amauri Oliveira, 60 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sebastião Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Pedro Luís Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Dionísio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Verdadeiros's Severino Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Madureira in the 77th minute of play forced Verdadeiros's goalkeeper Sebastião Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Dante. Wellington Miranda, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Severino Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Mauro Dionísio made a huge save. In the 84th minute, João Vítor Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Pedro Luís Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rubinho Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Verdadeiros players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF.
