Alexsandro Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cauã Branco went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Sonifarma F.C's zone, Olívio Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Perez came out of the goal and Olívio Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Reginaldo da Silveira notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tayio Esporte Clube's Alexsandro Tasso. Alexsandro Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Sonifarma F.C booed when Tayio Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauã Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Alexsandro Tasso made a huge save. The supporters of Sonifarma F.C booed when Tayio Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Secco in the 19th minute of play forced Sonifarma F.C's goalkeeper Roberto Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Dorival Secco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Perez was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilson Aparecido got free with Alexsandro Tasso in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Roberto Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Secco in the 45th minute of play. Dorival Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Perez having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Reginaldo da Silveira made the kick off in the second half. If Dorival Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute João Adolfo Mota suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Gilson Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sonifarma F.C's protests and gave Gilson Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. Tayio Esporte Clube's Emerson de Godoi pulled a muscle in his back after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 87 minutes of play Sonifarma F.C's Erasmo Souza was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 88th match minute, Sonifarma F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Souza to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 89 minutes, Luciano Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tayio Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Olívio Salles came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Tayio Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio Salles couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tayio Esporte Clube players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
