After a rather tough play, Vila barro branco's Henrique Correia got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Giovani Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuri Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Vaz in the 24th minute of play forced Vila barro branco's goalkeeper Yuri Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Vila barro branco's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Dracena came free, but Yuri Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC SCAFF UNITED booed when Vila barro branco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Dracena in the 39th minute of play. Raí Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Telmo Monteiro made a kick off. A collision led to SC SCAFF UNITED getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Giovani Bittencourt hit a great ball. Vila barro branco's Cláudio Passos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC SCAFF UNITED. Norberto de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Norberto de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Netto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. SC SCAFF UNITED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Olívio Velasco in the 75th minute. Claudinei Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Netto having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as SC SCAFF UNITED's Claudinei Dracena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yuri Netto. That made the score 1-4 after 89 minutes of play. Vila barro branco's Yuri Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Vila barro branco from getting a goal against them. The SC SCAFF UNITED supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC SCAFF UNITED would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
