Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Vazantes's Agostinho Paiva got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fabiano Capixaba to strike the kick off in the second half. Vazantes's Lauro Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Seraphim's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Soares came free, but Mathias Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Mathias Mesquita made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Seraphim's goalkeeper Mathias Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lauro Dias. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fabiano Capixaba in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Gaspar saved Vazantes from getting behind. The supporters of Seraphim booed when Vazantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luiz Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball.
