Mathias Mesquita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertinho Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Albertinho Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rubinho Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertinho Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Mesquita having to interfere. Ademir Messias's late challenge caught a Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademir Messias helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Seraphim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Messias to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Seraphim's Vito Moreira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rubinho Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubinho Madureira might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathias Mesquita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubinho Madureira ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF's goalkeeper Mauro Dionísio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hernani Rocha. After a rather tough play, Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF's Evandro Dante got a free kick in the 29th minute. Albertinho Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mathias Mesquita came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF's Albertinho Magalhães. But to his dismay, Albertinho Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Seraphim's zone, Rubinho Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Mesquita came out of the goal and Rubinho Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Seraphim's Ademir Messias got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Ademir Messias off the ground. Ademir Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Madureira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathias Mesquita was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. If Albertinho Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 48 minutes, Rubinho Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernani Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Amauri Oliveira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Seraphim's Mathias Mesquita didn't even have to move. Rubinho Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Carlos Fernando Andrade took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Mathias Mesquita to make any attempt to save it. When Hernani Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Seraphim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Rocha couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mauro Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathias Mesquita was a little too slow when Rubinho Madureira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-3. When the match was over Mogi Mirim EC - FDFDF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Seraphim throughout the match.
