After a defensive mix-up in Nacional FC's zone, Paulão Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Sete Pecados Capitais's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Valadares came free, but Ediberto Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 31 minutes, Tarcisio Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tarcisio Catarinense in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ediberto Paraibano saved Sete Pecados Capitais from getting behind. With a little luck, Nacional FC's Carlos Fernando Cabral got control of the ball when Paulão Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Fernando Cabral made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Paulão Trevisan sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional FC's zone, Paulão Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Fernando Cabral came out of the goal and Paulão Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 57th match minute, Sete Pecados Capitais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Maia to maneuver through the defense. Ediberto Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tarcisio Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Nacional FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Trevisan came free, but Carlos Fernando Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulão Trevisan in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Fernando Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulão Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Carlos Fernando Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Nacional FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Elivélton Santana hit a great ball. If Paulão Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes Nacional FC got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Catarinense. Paulão Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute.
