Artur Ramos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cleiton Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrão Sanches went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute of the match, Pedrão Sanches tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cleiton Proença saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pedrão Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Cleiton Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Ulysses Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Edson Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cleiton Proença. Amarantina SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edson Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Pedrão Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleiton Proença was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 71st minute, Edson Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Terrão FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 77th minute, Maurinho Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 3-3 became the score in the 82nd minute when Erik Branco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cleiton Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Moura in the 85th minute of play. Ulysses Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Amarantina SS were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
