In the 16th minute, coringão 2021's Gildo Cardoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernandinho Catarinense. Fernandinho Catarinense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Leite got free with Fernandinho Catarinense in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Danilo Leite notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Iparanga's Fernandinho Catarinense. Fernandinho Catarinense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Iparanga getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodriguinho Marquez to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Iparanga defense, Gildo Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernandinho Catarinense. The Iparanga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernandinho Catarinense should have stopped the shot.
