In the 3rd minute, Beto Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Duarte scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovani de Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovani de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Duarte in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Rony Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurício Duarte took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovani de Azevedo. Giovani de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Giovani de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurício Duarte during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Quiririm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Duarte in the 30th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Giovani de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Rony Porto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quiririm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 37th minute Rony Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Corinthians's Teodoro Galvão seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teodoro Galvão the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Corinthians protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teodoro Galvão had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 38th minute, one of Corinthians:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corinthians. Giovani de Azevedo went to the wrong direction when Luís Fabiano Linares was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 43rd minute Rony Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Porto was the one to do the kick off. Beto Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio de Queiroz having to interfere. Giovani de Azevedo came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Quiririm's Maurício Duarte. But to his dismay, Maurício Duarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Giovani de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Porto in the 64th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Giovani de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Quiririm's Maurício Duarte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giovani de Azevedo. Giovani de Azevedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Beto Cordeiro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Rony Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Maurício Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Quiririm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Duarte couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the game, Rony Porto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Giovani de Azevedo. Rony Porto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 81 minutes into the match, Maurício Duarte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giovani de Azevedo, 0-7. After 85 minutes of play Quiririm's Maurício Duarte was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Quiririm's Maurício Duarte got a free kick in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Porto came free, but Giovani de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Fabiano Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Corinthians's Tião Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beto Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sérgio de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corinthians. When the final whistle sounded Quiririm left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Corinthians.
