The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Zé Augusto Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráusio Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Lino de Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr's Haroldo de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dráusio Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo de Alcântara in the 13th minute of play. Cleiton Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleiton Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Váldson da Cunha hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 18 minutes, Mauro Toledo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr's Zé Augusto Meira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Toledo in the 24th minute of play forced Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hanniballs F.C's goalkeeper Dráusio Donato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Mauro Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Augusto Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Toledo in the 33rd minute of the match. Betão Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Betão Urbano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Negri. 44 minutes into the match, Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr's Lino de Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dráusio Donato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 48 played minutes Ziriguidum Futebol Clubr got a freekick which was hit by Percy de Queiroz. Zé Augusto Meira came out of the goal in the 49th minute to try and stop a shot by Hanniballs F.C's Mauro Toledo. But to his dismay, Mauro Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Fontes was the one to do the kick off. Haroldo de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Donato having to interfere. Haroldo de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeremias Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Zé Augusto Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Augusto Meira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Toledo in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Fontes in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Augusto Meira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the game, Mauro Toledo lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Zé Augusto Meira. After having played for 79 minutes, Jeremias Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hanniballs F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jeremias Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Zé Augusto Meira managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Hanniballs F.C's Mauro Toledo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cacá Bertassi's late challenge caught a Hanniballs F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacá Bertassi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Cacá Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jeremias Fontes in the 88th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Zé Augusto Meira kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-4 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Hanniballs F.C's Dráusio Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo de Alcântara in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hanniballs F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
