Acácio Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When João Paulo Souto came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Golbagoli Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Souto couldn't finish the play. After having played for 33 minutes, Clemente Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sassego's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clemente Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Simão having to interfere. Dênis Paulista might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dênis Paulista ran back to his position shaking his head. Dênis Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Miranda got free with Acácio Simão in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, João Paulo Souto notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Sassego's Wilson Paiva. Wilson Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 66 minutes, Manuel Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wilson Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Sassego's Wilson Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Souto in the 83rd minute of play. Róbson Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Paulo Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Wilson Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Sassego's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Souto came free, but Wilson Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Golbagoli Futebol Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sassego for a fine match.
